Roadtrip...

Tuesday, May 10, 2011
I did not remember the exact age when it happens, but I think I was like 15 years old when I had my first experience that makes me reflects about death. I was in playa Mar Bella in Vega Baja having a fun day with my friends during the summer. My friends and I decided to go to a rock named “El Corsario”. It is a very dangerous place, where many people die. It is a giant rock from about 30 feet from the water, where the people go and jump in into the furious ocean.
When I get there it seems easy and fun and after a long time thinking about it, I decided to jump in. It was a wonderful experience, everything seems to be normal. When I was trying to get out of the water everything changes. I was climbing in the rocks when big waves came and push me into the rocks. In that moment it was only me and the ocean. I was in a big silence thinking about what to do. I realize that if I want to get out alive I needed to stay away of the rocks, but it was no easy the strong currents and the big waves make it very hard. I stayed down there like 5 minutes fighting for my life and for me it seem like one hour. Hopefully in one moment the ocean calm down and I went out with an horror face. My legs and back suffered a lot of injuries.
This experience increases my respect for the ocean and it wonders. I would never go into that rock again. I already learn the lesion, ocean dominates us completely and we have nothing to do in that kind of situation. I gave a lot thanks to God that gave me the opportunity to get out of there.

White Heron is...
On “The White Heron” story captures my attention as I can compare the nature and the problem we have today in our island. View day to day how the nature is destroyed building buildings everywhere without thinking about the problems this can bring and forgetting the species that live there. The sense of caring for animals and what surrounds us has been lost for minor things everything is based on progress, and forgetting who we really are.
“A White Heron” is a really fascinating story, because you see the tender and compassionate side of the child, when she protected the heron from the stranger. She has a great heart because she left him slept in her house, even if she didn’t know him. In this story we can see that the world change every day about what surround us. Like the animals, our environment, that we live, and we don’t protect it. We have to be a little more considering about what is affecting us. We have to protect our animals, our nature, like the kid in the story, even if we get paid for kill some animal, or destroy something from the nature. We have to make conscience about what is happening in our country, the politics are destroying the woods, a lot of trees that get us oxygen, to build some buildings, houses, mansions, stores or fabrics, that the only thing that they do is contaminate the planet. For all the things that happens in the whole world, we have to begin learn about what is the best for us, for our planet, that we live. We have to make conscience.
Humans think there're gods!
Life is not always EASY....

a little bit of me!!!!!!
Hiii. My name is Sahara Marrero Rolon. I am 18 years old. I was born in July 13 of 1992. I live in Bayamon. I live with my parents and my older sister.I studied at Academia Discipulos de Cristo, now I study at the University of Puerto Rico, located in Rio Piedras. My college is Natural Sciences, and my major is biology. I want to be a radiologist. I love dancing and modeling, when I was little I saw my cousin dancing and that inspired me to dance. Then I was in a dancing school named Dreamers in Vega Alta for 5 years, and later in and a dancing school named Dance Machine, in Bayamon. I was in the cheerleader team in the University at the first semester. I like hanging out with my friends, going to the beach, the mall, and going to restaurants.
My goals are; first, to finish my studies, then specialize in radiology. And the most important is have my own family.
I usually get up early every weekend at 5:30 a.m. to surf the best waves in the morning. It is definitely a great experience with nature. I arrive to the beach approximately at 6:00 a.m. and sit in the sand with some friends looking to the horizon, waiting for the rising of the sun.Saturday, March 5, 2011
who I am

Hey, my name is Jose Bonilla Martinez and I am 19 years old. I’m from Caguas, Puerto Rico. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. I studied in Colegio San José and now I study in the UPR. My professional goal is to be an orthopedist or physiatrist. I love sports and my favorites are: soccer, basketball and surfing. In my free time I like to go to the beach or hang out with my friends, but the most that I like to do is going to surf or play soccer. I think this is the best style of life. My favorite soccer team is FC Barcelona and Leo Messi is my favorite player. In surfing the one that I like very much was Andy Irons. Andy Irons was one of the best surfers in the world and this year he suffered an accident and he died.
Another thing that I like too much is real music and writing. I think that these days, people forget what is music. They use the lyrics to insult the women and I don’t think that is the purpose of the music. My favorite genre is reggae, but I listen a little bit of the other ones.

Nature Makes Me Itch

So why do I blog about nature? Because even my indoors-loving lifestyle needs nature to survive.
The water I drink must be pure and plentiful. The air I breathe must be clean. The healthiest foods for me to eat are those that are fresh and unprocessed. The best way to guarantee that I continue to have these things is to see to it that other living beings, from plankton to polar bears, have what they need to survive. Pollution matters to me. Global warming matters to me. Species diversity matters to me.
Even if I am writing this in an air-conditioned basement with artificial (but energy-efficient!) light.

I just live with my mom, my dad lives in Orlando, Florida with my 2 brothers. Obviously, my parents are divorced. I have a great relationship with my dad and my brothers. 3 weekends at month I go to Orlando and pass the weekend there.
I like cars, the beach, hanging out with my friends, working out, sleeping in,
anything that keeps me in action. Apart from baseball I played volleyball, basketball and swimming. I am a sports freak because they keep me busy. I totally dislike being bored. Sometimes I dislike to go to college but I have a good sense of humor to things. One of my biggest goals is create a marketing company, and to be my own boss. I have a big dream with this that actually I have the name for that. “World Wide Marketing Group” its going to be the name.
The Nature In Me
I surf because ...

I consider myself a happy, athletic and social person. I like to make new friends and share time with my family. I love sports. I practice volleyball and my passion is surfing. I spend at least two hours daily at the beach practicing and having fun with other surfers. During the weekend I get out of bed at 5:30 a.m. and arrive to the beach approximately at 6:30 a.m. Surfing helps me relax myself and be calm. When I feel stress with a lot of university work and personal problems I go to the beach and forget about the world for at least two hours. Being in contact with nature relax and helps me free my mind in order to continue with my life.
I hope to finish my dream of been a plastic surgery. I also want to have a great family with at least two kids and a great wife.
